Took my new Tarpon 140 out for the first time this morning on Twin Lakes, CT. I paddled a figure 8 around the perimeter (or as close as I could get without being in the weeds/pads) of each lake, including the inlet on West Twin. It ended up being about 10.3 miles total and I held around 4.1 mph, which included a water break at the turnaround point, and four self-rescue/edge limit practices on the way back. That pace is crazy good for me. For reference, in my Kilroy, I can typically hold just over 4 mph for about 2.5 hours/10 miles, but I'm busting my ass to do that, and that's without breaks or intentionally going overboard a bunch of times. This wasn't hard at all, in fact that pace felt downright casual in this boat. Easy even.

I am very, very pleased 🔥🤘😜🤘🔥

Yup, they’re swift, I have to remind myself to slow down when I troll for kokes and bows.
