I know im going to get flak cause this is not a kayak. But i bought this dinghy to do some fishing. Ive had no luck shore or dock fishing and looking to get in further.

I dont know how you kayakers are not worried about alligators.
Im in this thing and i am terrified. Should i be?
This is a 8 foot long and just short of 5 foot wide and can hold 350lbs. I installed fenders to make it more stable, in case of an encounter with a gator.
Can a gator flip it?
Try not to laugh.
Im inexperienced here in boating and fishing

Native Floridian here. During Covid my wife’s and I past time was kayaking the Hillsborough River and counting the gators. Our record was 47. Gators don’t bother you unless you bother them. Except in mating season (March and April) then kayak salt water because yeah the gators will be horny jerks.
