Got the idea from /u/laguna_shredder earlier. Had this old Fin-Nor lying around and decided to try it myself. The cork that was on it was half rotten away so why not, right? Rod has seen some shit so I hit it with some black rattle can and then some red engine enamel on the reel seat. I taped off where the reel actually contacts though. The butt is a cut down vertical foregrip that I filled with hot glue lol. Turned out great in my opinion!

i would have thought it was a good idea as well as i have a ton of items that are paracord wrapped. only thing that comes to mind is paracord doesn’t like being wet. which personally for me, comes with a few concerns. yours looks better than most i’ve seen so 🤷🏻♂️
