Frankly, I thought this was going to be a much more difficult task than it ended up being. The bottom cradles are from a Universal Kayak Yoke from Hidden River Yoke Shop (which I already owned and use with my Jackson Kilroy) and the top is just their normal Clamp-On Yoke Pads (also already owned and use with my canoe). The only thing I didn't have already was the yoke itself, which I got from Old Town. It's super stable and pretty comfy. I did a few laps around the property with it and it will definitley get the job done. Stoked š¤
I also replaced all my grab handles (except the back one because it mounts funny) with molded Jackson handles, the same ones that my Kilroy has. I did this for a few reasons: 1) It's necessary with the kayak yoke and keeps the straps aligned, 2) Hooks don't snag them, which has been an issue up front, 3) The ridges in the handle fit my bow line perfectly and keeps it from shifting, while allowing me to wrap the line around it for opposing pull directions. Overall they are just better than the webbing handles that came with the boat, and I even kept the paddle parks intact.
