Upgrade or fish as is?

The rod is nice. I like the length especially since I'm trying to do a lot of trout fishing on backcountry rivers and streams.

Not sure about the reel. Only used that type when I was a kid. Casts alright and reels in smooth (after some cleaning and lubing). Drag wheel doesn't seem to work too great
