I was cleaning my kayak today and checked the underside, I noticed a lot of damage on both the kayak and the trailer. It has about 500 miles and 10 trips. Any ideas on why this is happening or how to fix it. Images include damage to kayak and trailer and how I strap it down. The PVC is 4inch

That amount of scratching is nothing. Kayaks see far worse through normal use. If you’re worried about it I would recommend wrapping your PVC with bunk carpet, I’m sure that will completely resolve the issue.
