Hi everyone, I’m brand new to kayak fishing, let alone doing it in the bay/coastline (Sonora, Mexico to be more specific), and I want to get a rod and reel that is suitable for this kind of fishing. I was looking at the Daiwa BG 4000 reel and the 7’ MH Tsunami Carbon Shield III rod, would this setup be well suited for this type of fishing? I’m also looking for a good setup for finesse fishing and when I’m on the hunt for smaller fish and would appreciate any rod and reel recommendations for this sort of fishing on the yak. Thank you for your advice and recommendations in advance!

Yeah these are tough and smooth great reel for the money
My light weight setup is a 7ft med Bullbay rod and 3k shimano reel 15lb braid 25 lb fluorocarbon leader
