Haven’t caught a darn thing since I started fishing
While it would be nice to catch something, it’s not really necessary. At Caesar Creek Lake, Ohio.

Welcome to the club, been fishing for 3-4 months now and caught 2 fish in all that time. A brewski in nature always comes in handy, though…

Did you try float/bobber and worm?
Did you change depth?
Did you use a thin transparent leader?
These are my last resort changes that often help, but sometimes it is what it is. Atleast the view was 👌

Are you on the west end? By the spillway? … gonna get hot soon, but you should have some luck in an hour or so. Just move around if not.
Gosh, I have like 18 bank spots on that lake that I always do well in. …And that’s on THIS side of the spillway. If you don’t mind walking through nature, you will find a place that hits.
Hang in there and stay cool.
Also, I don’t bass fish. I throw 3 lines, set my butt down & wait 😄. ….That might not be what you are doing.

The threesome of worm, split shot, and bobber never disappoints

If you want to catch something, bobber, split shot, small hook, worm. Go in the morning, throw up along banks, or under shaded docks/trees. If you’re not getting bites after 15 minutes you should probably move. If you throw that where you know there are sunfish and they aren’t hooking themselves, they just aren’t biting. I wasted a lot of time when I started with lures and standing in the same place. If I can’t at least catch a bluegill in an hour I’m changing spots. Fishbrain app is good for locating active lakes

I just started and caught 8 fish this past week in two sessions! I’ve only had luck with silver hooks (the fish here seem to be onto those red ones) and worms. I did catch one bass on a wacky rig with a pumpkinseed black flecked.
If you’re getting nibbles but no bites, remember to set the hook before you start reeling in! You’ve got this! And good luck.
I am finding that what I enjoy most about fishing is being outside in the early morning quiet, which it seems like you’ve already found too. 🙂
