Penn carnage III, took it out for the first time today and noticed a bump on the first eyelet. Perfectly round and looks intentionally placed, so I assume has something to do with kicking the wet braid off the eye edge for distance, but my tsunami airwave doesn’t have one.
Anyone seen before? Google isn’t coming up with anything but I’m probably using the wrong terms.

Nope, it shouldn’t be there. It’s a droplet of epoxy from when they were attaching the guide. You may be able to pry it off with your fingernail. Just be careful not to use anything that could damage the eyelet while removing it. Or if it doesn’t mess with your line you can ignore it.
No that’s bad.
Going to mess up your lines. Return it.
If you absolutely cannot return it, I’ve seen them repaired with careful sanding and polishing, which is all you can do as it looks like a metal guide. Hopefully it’s not titanium or something that’s impossible to work.
Edit: looking closer, it’s apparently not a gouge in the metal. If it’s epoxy as another poster said, the fix should be much easier. Could try a chemical approach.
