Fished with my three sons today at Pondfields, Hadleigh, Suffolk.

Fishing a short telescopic, elasticated pole, a 4m whip and a 10ft float rod.

Caught all sorts of fish from tiny roach to decent carp. These are the highlight fish – the bigger fish was caught on the float rod, the others on the poles.

I spend the day going from one swim to the next fixing and untangling things but it was worth it. Three very happy sons – I’m knackard!

Lesson learned: pole/whip fishing is the future of kids fishing. So much easier than float fishing!!
