Need good casting distance and strength to fight these fish, is is this a good rod for it?

  1. I have the 10 foot carbon crappie, its a great rod and I have caught many big drum and catfish on it too.

    The salmon version is pretty much the same rod, but medium instead of light.

  2. I have the 9’6” salmon/steelhead version and I haven’t been disappointed with it. Casts well paired with a 4k reel and 20lb braid, and handles chum, chinook, and coho like a champ. Solid rod for fishing here in costal BC, I imagine it’ll serve you well back east as well.
