Looks like a cichlid. Probably Texas cichlid or Rio Grande Cichlid

I just responded saying tilapia but looking closer it might actually be a Texas “Blue Spot” Cichlid. A neat little native fella and one of the variety of American Cichlid species that can be found in the US.

Looks like a Johnny to me
