Hi everyone,
I’m working on an Okuma Avenger 6000 reel. The oscillation gear screw doesn’t tighten completely, and the gear moves slightly—causing the reel to run smoothly only in one direction.
I’ve tried using Teflon tape to get a better fit, but the issue persists when rotating the other way. The anti-reverse works fine. Is this usually caused by a stripped thread in the body?
Any advice on fixing the screw thread or alternative solutions will be greatly appreciated.
