Just spend the money on good braid. It’s going to last for years anyway.

I’m using soloking from AliExpress, it seems decent so far.
Going to spool up a new rod with 15lb Seaknight to try it out.

Berkley x9 is a good budget braid. Daiwa JBraid x8 Grand and Sufix 832 are also good budget options and can usually be found less than $25.
I would avoid popular braids like PowerPro Original or SpiderWire. PowerPro Original is a good braid but it’s a 4-carrier braid so it won’t cast as well because it’s not as smooth, especially for a spinning reel. SpiderWire is just poor quality.
What fish are you fishing for? What size braid are you considering?
