I was walking on the beach and found this reel stuck into an old hollow post. It’s clear the owner abandoned it because of the broken foot. I toted it home just to see if there was a way to fix it, as I’m trying to get back into fishing. My knowledge though is pretty limited, so if anyone could let me know if broken parts like these are fixable, I’d appreciate it!

It may be difficult finding just a frame for it. You would probably have to buy a junked reel from eBay or something and swap out the frames. If I had found it I wouldn’t get rid of it and would just wait and keep looking for a frame to replace it.
Not fixable but I’m sure you could find a way to permanently affix it to a rod. I would fit it to a rod, use lots of super glue and then maybe wrap it with Paracord.

I found this one at a thrift store for $20 about 2 months ago. It’s really just a waiting game.
If youre up for the DIY i feel if you get a plastic stick of some sort and super glue it then cut it to shape itll do the same. Or check out a tackle shop that refurbishes/ fixes reels to see if you can get a part off them.
Couple of zip ties around the middle of the foot frame and around the rod, the remainder of the foot goes in the seat as usual. It will probably wobble some. Close enough unless you’re pursuing big game.
Send it in to Shimano. They have surprisingly great service.
My dad had a curado 200 exactly like this and lost it like a month ago in the middle of a lake in qc😂
