They are both good on their own, but that is a bait casting rod, and not a spinning rod notice the trigger on the rod. The bait caster goes above that and it should have small eyes all the way to the handle of the rod.

I have that same shimano it’s great only issue with is it the nut to tighten the handle but nothing like a bit of loctite can’t help

That’s a casting rod. You need a spinning rod for that reel.

4000 is a REALLY big reel. Unless you are going for ocen fish or really big catfish, I’d go for a 2000-sized reel.

Thats an almost perfect begginer setup, i would try to snatch a sienna, the difference is almost none price wise, try to get a 2500-3000 size, thats a casting rod, get the same one but the spinning version, also, if you get the sienna the colors match hahaha
