Haven’t bought it yet but do you guys think the broken seat would be a problem?
It’s worn on the outside but drag sounds very crisp still and it stills reels super smooth.
I’m just worried about it popping off the rod reel seats.
Such a neat find tho.

Looks like it’s held on with screws. Maybe try to find a replacement on eBay.

Why would you pay $12 for a beat up damaged one from decades ago?

Id pay $5 max tbh. That looks ancient
Definitely not worthwhile. If it was free or like $5 I’d spend it just to tear it apart and see if I could tinker with it or for spare parts as I have a decent amount of older reels, but this is one of those situations where if you want to fish with it just get a new one. IIRC they’re less than $30 for an updated and new Shimano FX
