Just recently got into trout fishing but I’ve yet to catch one, I keep catching creek chub or fall fish or bluegill and rock bass. I’m still enjoying it cause it’s fishing but I really want a trout.
I’m mostly throwing rooster tails and small spoons
What should I do?

What size rooster tails you throwing? I’ve had luck with 1/16oz single hooks. And don’t worry I catch a few of those each time I’m out, don’t get too close too the water especially if your fishing for Brookies they spook very easily
