It seems to be incredibly cheap for what it is, abu Garcia doesn't have any of these vengeance reels in stock but if they did this combo would cost over 100 dollars to buy the reel and rod. Sweet deal or am I missing something?

It’ll do. Just make sure it’s not coming from some sketchy marketplace seller, and pick it up in store if possible – it’ll be easier to sort out things if the rod arrives broken.
That’s a pretty good deal. You’ll probably wanna get something better eventually, but for 40 bucks even if the reel is terrible you get a rod to put a Daiwa on lol
I liked mine, I’ve caught quite a few bass on it.
Check out an Ollie’s if you’ve got one near you, they’ll probably have this combo for a bit cheaper.
Mine ended up breaking when I was pulling a snag out, the upper real seat completely detached from the rod.
