I got two baitcasting combos for the salt, but was missing a combo for dropshots and lighter lures. I ended up going with a 6’6” Shimano Clarus F, paired to a daiwa ballistic mq Lt. This combo is very smooth and light! The reel is a size 2500 and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t miss that sweet drag screaming! Although I’m not too fond of the colorway, but it’s slowly growing on me.
