I have no idea what that telescopic pole is, but I do fish with a medium heavy action telescopic pole very regularly, and have caught plenty of large catfish and northern pike on it.

It’s the Hurricane Mako, it’s an inexpensive pole too, but it’s been my go-to for backpacking and hiking trips for years.
