Why is there always a smooth part on a senko? And why is it not centred in the middle?

I think it’s supposed to be the clitellum that you see on an earthworm. Basically the worm’s gonads. Older worm styles like the Zoom Trick worm have it too.

It’s supposed to be an immitation worm and a real worm has that and its off center.
