Hello noobie question. I recently upgraded to a better rod and reel from my $50 Walmart combo that I learned to fish on.
My Daiwa reel specs 12lb or 16lb mono. However everywhere I check online the same reel specs 10lb or 12lb.
Can I spool my reel with 10lb? Thank you.

Yep! No problem! It might eat up your whole 300 yard spool though.
