Picked up an old jet ski trailer. Took off the bunks, shifted the bow support forward, put some cheapo kayak saddles on the bunk supports, and away we go. Planning on replacing the saddles with bolt on ones now that I know it works.

I’d build a pair of PVC or EMT bunks instead of saddles. Super easy to laod/unload, super stable hauling and disperses the load over the full length instead of having a couple of pressure points.
