Might have to click on the photos to fully see them. So I have done a decent amount of fishing before, either using my friends rods or the red rod that will be seen in pictures. So I know how to fish, however I do not know what's good, how to set up a rod (tie knots, lures, leaders etc) and a few months ago I remembered I had all this gear and my friend advised me what's good to use just off the top of his head from photos.
I primarily river fish with lures for pike and perch etc so all those fly rods aren't very much use locally for me as there's no fly fishing spots that I am aware of.
I just don't know where to start if I want to fish alone without my friend, im not in the position for spending like £50 on one lure but im sure I can find cheap ones somewhere second hand. As seen I only have spinners.
As my grandad lived in France he did a lot different type fishing than I can so I have no idea what's what.
I would just like some advice on what is what and what rods do what, what rods and reels are good (mainly for coarse river fishing), what I need to buy (lures, hooks etc) and what I need to learn if I want to river fish alone.
