Hey fishing community! The last post I made about a spoon helped me a ton after overthinking it, but long story short after catching a few trout with it… it got stuck in a tree. I found this lure and heard these were cheat codes for trout, and wanted to learn since of course the main internet doesn't give entirely clear answers (to me atleast… I probably have an IQ below room temperature to not understand them.)
How would I rig this lure? Do I just attach it to the line directly? Carolina it? Do I put bait on the hook? Any answer helps lots.
Thank you in advance! 🙂

Just tie it on or use that swivel and forget the grub.
You can tie it on but that might twist and damage your line after a bunch of casts. I’m not a fan of doing that and losing a decent fish when I have swivels. I would use the snap swivel, personally.
That spinner is great for trout, bluegill, crappie, or perch! I have more inline spinners than any other lure. you can just tie it straight on. I usually just straight retrieve it, no pauses. Sometimes i have to reel fast at the beginning of the retrieve to get the blade spinning, then slow down a bit to make sure the fish have a chance to hit it.
Edit, just to make sure, the curly-tail plastic does not go with the spinner
