First time catching a catfish of eating size unfortunately couldn’t eat him as there were no metal poles around ;)
Serious note are the hooks in the second pic fine for catfish I found them at a popular spot for fishing

those hooks seem fine for catfish size depending on your bait and average fish size.
why would you need a metal pole though to eat it? all you need to skin them is a pair of pliers and to hold tight with your other hand. when they get big people often nail them to a tree but at that size you should have no issue.
