I’ve tried putting this on six times and every time it slightly reels out this happens. I don’t know what i’m doing wrong, i’m putting it on counter clockwise, i’m holding tension, i’ve tried flipping the spool clockwise and counterclockwise back and forth, can anyone help me? i’m trying to fish tomorrow but i can’t get this on

Not sure if this is it but have you checked the little switch at the bottom? It stops the reel from going both ways. I had that happen once and mine looked like yours.
Your line is too heavy for your spool, that reel looks like it can handle 6lb mono test at the most, I’m guessing that’s 10 + go lighter, or go braided, with a mono base… Have fun…
If you are holding tension on the line it isn’t possible for it to happen. The spool looks full though to be honest. Line looks very thick for that small reel also.
Two possible causes. An overspooled reel will not hold line properly and the line will want to jump off the reel. Also, spinning reels tend to have pretty hard limits on the weight of monofilament or flourocarbon line you can put on. I can see it is not overspooled, but that line looks THICK. I would follow the line weight reccomendations for your reel, but if there arent any, some 8-10 pound test should serve you much better. Edit: although 8lb shouldn’t be an issue, the numbers on your spool EX: 6/140 denotes how many yards of 6 pound line you can fit on the spool, that being 140 yards, not that you couldn’t figure that out. So it seems the manufacturer reccomenda 4-6 pound line.
