I could get this reel for $50, I just want to know if it’s worth it or not. I don’t know what kind of, only thing I know that it’s an older penn and it’s never been used.

Look it up on Ebay, check the previous auctions if possible. Use any other tool besides reddit. I don’t get it.

Id buy a new reel for 50 instead of a 15 year old reel

It’s a Penn captiva. Looks like around $50 to $70 with some over $100 on ebay. Was discontinued in 2009.
For $50 brand new it seems like an OK deal compared to other prices online. It is however at least a 16 year old reel. If you’re comfortable with doing an immediate servicing on the reel than go for it. It’s also likely a larger reel meant for surf fishing or bigger fish in general and not sealed.
