Sitting here watching a thunderstorm outside got me thinking that we are already in September and my favorite fishing is going to get good soon.
Fall in New England is a magical time for surface feeds on the ponds, big chironomid hatches and trout putting the feed bags in.
Until then I will have to keep happy chasing albies and bonito on the saltwater.

  1. We *just* had real rain for the first time in almost two months (NEPA) The creeks are a trickle and you can walk across the Delaware in places.

The temp changed and like you, I was like ooh, ‘tis the season. But we’ll need more rain this month to correct an August where we didn’t even get thunderstorms.
