Just found this incredibly small hook in my tackle box. What kind of fish is it supposed to catch and with what kind of bait?

  1. Dace where are you based and ask uncle google or aunty Gemini on what specimen are in locations you fish good luck

  2. Big trout eat small flys. I think it’s a fly hook for tying a nymph or small dry fly. Check out size 24 midge fly

I am a fisherman and a saltwater reefkeeper. I had a nasty damselfish in a 75 gallon tank with live rock that was 100% impossible to catch. Little bastard was evil, attacked and killed other fish. Very aggressive eater too. I was happy to find these tiny little hooks, at least an option to try. There I was, in my living room, hanging a tiny hook with a mysis shrimp on it, trying to catch fish in my own tank. Unfortunately the clownfish kept getting to it first and I damn near caught one! That was the end of my experiment. I don’t these hooks they are sold for this purpose.
