Caught my first double-digit carp after months of targeting them at a small local pond! I tied my own hair rig with 50lb braid, used two corn kernels and a sliver of a popup boilie for better presentation. I’ve been chumming regularly with boilies and a mix of corn, oats, and Jell-O. Lately, the carp have been preferring soft bait, which is why I used corn on the hair instead of my normal boilie. I feel the hook-to-bite ratio is lower with corn compared to boilies, but they’re only hitting the corn right now. The fight lasted over 5 minutes—could’ve tightened the drag more, but I played it safe after getting skunked all day. #CarpFishing #PersonalBest
