Is This Hydrilla?

I’m trying to learn the difference in vegetation and its importance in fishing, particularly for bass or crappie. I always hear about milfoil, hydrilla, coontail, or eel grass. But, I have no idea what that entails other than fish might be in it or around it.

Whatever this vegetation is, it’s all over this pond. I’ve tried punching through it with a Texas rig, but I’ve only had a handful of bites.

Tried throwing worms in it for crappie, but nothing.
