If anyone was wondering how the tariff stuff works for DHL. They sent me a text and email to pay for the fee then you can pay via PayPal or credit card.
I do not know how they determine the fee though. My item was $281.92 with shipping included. I was charged $107.76. More than I wanted to pay but at least I know now. Probably done buying stuff

DHL are fucking crooks.
I hate the new tariff regime, but quite frankly to be completely honest, anglers have been using de minimis to avoid paying taxes in the US for a long time.
By ordering from overseas retailers, Americans have been avoiding state and local sales taxes in addition to the 10% excise tax on all fishing equipment in the United States.
A lot of what you paid is the new tariffs that Trump levied, and a lot of that is processing paperwork charges (the original purpose of de minimis – to minimize processing for low value goods), but even if Trump’s tariffs didn’t exist, I’d argue that you should have been paying the excise tax and sales tax.
