Have been dealing with some injuries that have prevented me from running and lifting, have been feeling pretty down about it the last few weeks so I went out to practice casting and this little kid asked if he could try, so I gave him a few pointers. Honestly it was the highlight of what’s been a darker time in my life and I’m grateful to be able to share it with the next generation of anglers.

  1. It’s amazing how little it can take to give us a boost some times. I gave my neighbor’s son my entry rod and gave him some casting pointers. I feel better every time I see him at the lake casting it.

  2. Stay strong bud! That’s very cool to open the world of fly fishing to the young man. You may have created a life long memory for that kid. That right there is pretty amazing when you think about it. We all remember the first time we picked up a fly rod and started practicing our casting. You know are part of that kid’s memory! Way to go bud and thanks for teaching that boy there’s more to life than electronics
