So I’ve fished many times as a kid and with friends but I’ve never ever caught anything. This summer I delved in and bought a new rod and reel combo and a bunch of fishing tackle. I casted and casted without a bite.I lost lures, was ran up on my meth heads while fishing, even found a rod and reel, my gf was even starting to make jokes about me because I spent a lot on tackle and was even doubting me. Today was my day, after getting this lure I caught 6 Northern Pike in 45 minutes and was getting bites and hits. I’m happy because not only did I catch my first fish, I caught 6. I released all the fish and just can’t stop smiling. I’m hooked. Cheers! I’ll be back fishing again soon. Thanks for reading my story of a new angler.

I’m happy to see you are having some luck now. Fishing is just like that sometimes. There will be days where you catch 20 and days where you will not get even a bite.
Also, the photo you have captures the sporadic fury of the Pike very well. XD
