Just got a Tatula SV baitcaster. I’ve seen the videos about using backing line, no backing, tape, etc. I have about 60-80 yards of 30lb suffix 832 braid I want to put on, but that’s obviously not enough to fill the spool. My dad gave me some 10lb P-Line Copolymer a while back. Would that work as backing okay? Or should I just got buy a new roll of braid so I can spool the whole thing with braid and put some tape on the spool?

Anything works as backing
Sure.
The point of backing is to use the cheapest shit possible so you don’t waste your good line, that’s it. If you care enough to have backing at all just buy a 1000 yards of garbage for $10 and you’ll have all the backing you’ll ever need.
I’d use the cheapest 20# mono I could find. You aren’t going/supposed to cast it.
