I ordered two rods and they sent me two of one of the rods by mistake. I’m thinking I should email them and let them know, I’d feel like I’m stealing a hundred dollar rod. However I’ve worked in fulfillment before and people would get fired for making too many order filling errors. I don’t want to get anyone in trouble or potentially fired over a mistake… Not sure what to do, What do y’all think?

  1. If it’s from a big box store just keep it. If you ordered from a mom and pop website shoot them an email.

  2. I’d be willing to bet that they tell you to keep it regardless. I mean I’d probably reach out but would be shocked if anything resulted

If it’s a local family run store I’d let them know. If it’s a giant corporate store I’m not going to get someone fired.

  4. If you’re wondering about morality, it seems you already know the answer. Reach out and clear your conscious.

  5. Tell them. Worst case scenario they want it back. Best case they tell you to keep it. Either way you’re at peace with yourself.

All you need is one more reel and you have a killer Christmas present for pops(if you celebrate that is) maybe bday?

  7. This happens and 95% chance they would just tell you to keep it. If it were a mom and pops store sure, they’d probably even give you store credit.

Once I ordered a st croix premier musky rod (250$)…the original was about a week over due so I emailed them and they said if I hadn’t gotten it by now it was most likely lost or stuck at a carrier facility. They sent another one out and I asked what happens if the other one shows up and they told me to keep it. If it were me id keep it without losing sleep. If its really bugging you, give it away to a friend of yours
