Just got this reel and was told its bad

I just got this fishing reel of 3000. It honestly irl looks quite small and light. Payed for it around 25$ discount.

I just talked with this experience guy here in my city (he fishes from rocks) he told me its very bad. You won't be able to cast for long distances so you won't fish much with it. How bad is it?

Now i wish i bought something with over 5000 reel and +4 meters rod. Im setting this reel with an over 2m rode.
