Looking to try something with weight on a pond with a lot of weeds in it.

Sandy/open bottoms (1st) vs weedy bottoms(2nd) I’d rather just use dropshot rig tbh.

Use the jika when you’re trying to get to the bottom quickly.
Use the free rig when you want casting distance and a slow fall.
If the weeds are sparse or you’re fishing the edges, you’ll probably be fine. If the weeds are thick and full of pockets, you’re better off using a pegged bullet weight.
