So I bought a new reel and line for my 5wt 2 days ago. Haven’t fished since so still sitting in the box. I go to put my leader on to get ready for some weekend fishing and notice this today.
Long story short, this should be returned right?

That’s unlike SA – usually their QC is great – 100% return

Probably but most good fly shops can cut that and weld a new loop.
