Getting back into fishing after a lifetime.
I'm looking for some opinions on my fishing setup. I wanted a convenient setup that I could keep in my trunk and always have on hand. I didn't want to go overboard for my first setup, but I wanted something decent. My intended use is freshwater fishing for bass in SoCal.
Here are the details:
• Rod: KastKing Black Hawk 2 Telescoping, 7 ft 1 in, Fast Action, Medium Power
• Reel: Piscifun Torrent 2 Baitcaster, 8.1:1 Gear Ratio

i am not a fan of most telescoping rods. they seem to be more prone to binding than a 3 or 4 piece travel rod. other than my personal preference, for a budget step this looks reasonable.
