Do I need to add more line?

Been trying to throw out size 6 or 8 hook with small things like corn or bread to catch panfish for bigger fish. Lately the hook doesn’t go out anymore than a yard or so ahead of me unless I got on a worm weight attached. Is it because of the lack of line or do I still have a good amount left.

Taking this line off would be an all day activity 🤣
