My NK180 died and I made the switch to this bowmount after some careful consideration. It’s only about .25mph slower than the NK180 and the Kayak handles completely differently with a bowmount on front.
I love the spot lock and the heading lock of this motor, it makes fishing and maintaining a spot super easy. My biggest complaint so far is the weight. It weighs around 40lbs which is a ton of weight to put on the nose of the Kayak. Time will tell how this thing handles when it gets real windy.
