I’ll attach a picture. My friend wants to go fishing with me, but she’s a lefty so I dug out my old spinning reel I haven’t touched in years and found it’s broken. The handle came out. Does anyone know how I can fix it? I tried twisting it back on, but it didn’t work. It looks like it could be missing a piece but I’m not sure.

They sell replacement spinning reel handles on Amazon for like $10.
You are missing the cap screw. It’s a screw that goes in the opposite side of the reel to hold the handle on and has a plastic cap so you can tighten or loosen it with your fingers. Just take your handle to a hardware store like Home Depot and find a machine screw that threads into it. It will be a metric size like M4 and you will want it about 20 mm long. Also, get a lock washer to go on the screw. Get someone from the staff to help, if you need to. Then just put the handle back into your reel, thread the screw and washer into the other side and tighten with a screwdriver.
