I’m new to trout fishing. This was my first “real” trip targeting them specifically. Over the course of 2 days, my wife and I landed about 30 fish; a few while wading shallow creeks and the rest out of the main river on my boat. Many were in the 17”-20” slot for rainbows (properly released) and all other rainbows were slain and smoked. Browns are required to be 20”+ to harvest. Never broke that mark. Regardless, results weren’t too shabby for some basic internet research!
