I was fishing at a lake and I casted out as I was casting I heard a little crack sound didn’t think much of it until I went to take my bait out and the reel just fell off the seat and I check it out to find the a piece of the reel broke off the reel that sits in the rod I tried superglue but messed with it even more and the glue isn’t really holding it well

If you didnt buy the rod and reel as part of a kit. Pop in to your local tackle shop and see if they’ll have a spare washer for your reel.

some people have also used a folded bit of paper cut to size to make a washer/shim or a big rubber band as cheap fixes.

  2. Daiwa has a 1 year limited warranty on most reels. The warranty covers manufacturing defects.

You’re probably going to have a hard time getting this covered as a manufacturer defect. The super glue fix probably isn’t going to help either because they are going to assume you tried to fix it first because you didn’t believe it was going to be covered.

If it honestly did break how you stated, it’s worth a try to call Daiwa but I wouldn’t get my hopes up.
