to what? rocks? bluegill?
Sad about the spinner on the far right, I really like those smaller ones.

But how? Did you get snagged on bushes? Were you working it to slow that it caused you to get snagged? Bad tied knots?

Unfortunately losing lures is part of the game. Fish like to hang out in snaggy areas like rocks and logs, gotta figure out how to fish those areas without getting completely hung up

palomar knot on braided line. throw weedless setups where you can. if you do get caught, the braided line will give you the strength to pull through it and the palomar knot wont pop.

Practice casting in your yard or a park somewhere. Work on improving your accuracy so you’re not casting into trees when you get back on the water.

Try fishing paddle tails or similar swim baits with a weighted screw lock swim bait hook. They can be rigged weedless and will result in a lot less snagging / hangups. Just be sure to get the right size hook for your paddle tails!

The Texas rig was made for people like you and me

Get some x4 braided line, a little more rough than x8 but more durable to snags and frays… drag the whole log if you have to 😂

Don’t feel bad, I’m in the same boat. Haven’t caught anything my first 6 times going out and I’ve lost a bunch of lures

3/0 or 4/0 EWG hooks and a Yamamoto senko until you get more familiar with the sport

If your lure gets stuck, point the rod directly at it so you don’t strain or break it. Then pull directly back slowly increasing drag, i save a lot of lures this way. Also no shame in braid or stronger line

I got a really nice wonder bread predator tube jig from Northland tackle. It has a stinger hook in the back. I’ve heard it works well in areas like mine and I was excited to try it.
Well, 1 toss. No drags. Snagged solid and had to snap my line trying to get it out. It’s really frustrating sometimes.

Sorry to hear that :[
Use weedless lures or cheap spinners in higher risk areas [Making your own can work too].
I have lost so many.. most people have, I hate it as my finances are tight.
I started making my own years ago, a barrel weight with reflective/ glitter paint on + bead or two each side with a hook one end and a float stop the other, it can be on line or wire. Not pretty but.. if a fish is hungry it will eat.
