So I’ve been wanting a Winston rod for 30 years. Finally, last night questioned myself as to “what am I waiting for”? I’m not getting any younger, non of us are guaranteed tomorrow. So today I called the closest dealer to me (1.5 hours away), he didn’t have a Pure 2 4wt that I asked about HOWEVER he did have a leftover 7’6” Pure 3wt that had never been opened and put out on the rack. He said that I could have it for $695.00 so I jumped in the truck and went and purchased it.
I hurried home and put an Orvis Battenkill click pawl reel on it and walked down to the lake. It casts like a dream! I was casting a small popper 35-40’. I’m sure that I will love this thing.
Now, guess I’ll have to save up and get the Pure 2 8’3” 4wt that I also “need”🤣
