Light or ultralight power, fast action. Length is more about preference and setting imo. Longer rod will help cast farther but also gets in the way if youâre bank fishing or kayak fishing, especially where there are trees/bushes that youâre trying to cast around. I find 6 and a half foot rods a good middle group since I do all kinds of fishing.
